KBM Prelim 1: Results 67-72

Know your position well

We are back to having a rather not so profitable day in this grouping of KBM candidates. If anything, Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji of Group 68 proves just how much of a royal person he is compared to the rest of his fellow men. Coming out of this group with a high score of 219, he appears to be the only one out of the groupings who have a chance at making it to the main rounds. In fact, the only one who is even close to him is Saitou Hajime from Hakuouki Sekkaroku of Group 71, and he has a vote count of 166. This is the second best score out of these selected groups, and, in an overall setting 166 may be a deal maker or a deal breaker. Combined with the various other members and possibly future contenders who have a higher score than him, Hajime needs to really pull all the stops if he wants in on the main tournament.

Lately, we have been getting more and more ties as KBM progresses. There are a set series of steps on how ties are dealt with; however, because it is just the first prelim period, I do not know whether they will put it on still or wait until the next prelim round where we get to deduct who is going to advance to the main tournament. In summary, when there is a tie, if the tie happens to be greater than the character(s) with the lowest vote score, the tie will advancing to the next round to replace the lowest scored character. If that is not possible, characters will be judged based on their previous round achievements. If that happens to be the same, characters will be judged by the amount of support they have cumulatively. If that happens to be the same, characters will be judged based on seeding. A lot of things is to be considered, but because this is the first round, I would assume they would let them all in for a second shot at this. Otherwise, I wish the staff well on who will make it to the next round.
