KBM Prelim 2: Results 1-6 & Predictions 7-12

First Shot Fired!

Group 1 – I was kind of surprised Mouri Ran form Detective Conan did not take the competition. In fact, it was Yuki Asaba from Kimi to Boku who came out of this match victorious with 124 votes. I never would have expected there would be a tie between her and Ichigo Kurosaki from BLEACH at 110. While all three advance to the next round, rules of tie state that if either of then get the lowest overall votes when KBM is over. One of the has to go. I am sure there is going to be someone lower than 110, allowing both of them to advance.

Group 2 – I am not too surprised that Shanks from ONE PIECE made it to the next round with 161 votes; however, I am quite angered. If Amaimon from Blue Exorcist just got one more vote, he could have made it to the next round. However, since Ishido Shuuji from Inazuma Eleven has a score of 77, the lowest so far, he is in danger of getting kicked out of Round of 96. Maybe Amaimon wants to drag Shuuji to hell with him.

Group 3 – I am not too keen about the Hakuōki series, but Toshizō Hijikata finishing with 149 may mean I miscalculated the possible strength of the series. That, or the people in this group were not really that strong to begin with. Second place is taken by Mutsu from Gintama with 85 votes.

Group 4 – I am not surprised that Nyanko-sensei from Natsume Yuujinchou won with a nice score of 185. I wrote down previously that there may be animals going us at Round of 96 due to the rather odd idea of getting animals into the mix of a human tournament. I actually expect him to go far, to be honest, but it would be nice if a male character can win this overall. Erika Karisawa from Durarara!! takes second place at 85. Again, I was not too surprised, for this group did not have much strong characters to begin with.

Group 5 – Isao Kondou from Gintama takes first place at 141. I was quite surprised Chiaki Yoshino from Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi would take second place at 126. Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi seems to me more popular than I had originally perceived it to be. I may need to keep my eyes on them in the future.

Group 6 – I am not too surprised that Heiji Hattori from Detective Conan would win at 148 votes. I was quite saddened to see Yukio Okumura from Blue Exorcist. He was just 20 votes shy from tying with Archer (4th) from Fate/Zero. Looks like Gilgamesh is going to be sticking around for quite a while.

Group 7 – Shota is easily going to win this one. As for who would take second place, my bet is on the Undertaker, but Takano may prove to be the dark horse here.

Group 8 – Shinpachi will easily walk away with this one. Second place is leaning towards Ayumi. Akito and Accelerator are also possible contenters.

Group 9 – I have a good feeling the two moving on here are Yuki-Onna Reira and Haruka.

Group 10 – This is a bit harder since they are all quite weak. There’s a good chance Keroro and Yuuto would advance to the next round.

Group 11 – Gary is easily going to take this one home. I have no clue who is going to be second. Maybe Soutarou?

Group 12 – There is a good chance Tae would make it first. Second place may have to be shared by either Sanji or Simon.
