KBM Male Division 2012: Round of 8

Round of 8 is quickly heading underway as the tension for everyone in the Top Eight increases. Slowly, we are getting close to figuring out exactly who will be the winner when everything is said and done. With three Gintama representatives and every other series garnering one last character for their team, it would not come to a surprise in Gintama is the likely favorite to take it all home by the end of this one. With the divisions of the team grouped as such, it looks as though every Gintama representative is going to have an easy  time getting into the Top four. While I should not mind this due to Gintama’s popularity, it would be nice if there will be some variety come the Top four. I am somehow getting AST 2011 vibes from these match-ups. In any case, here are my predictions for the four arenas:

Group 1: Gintoki Sakata vs. Kaito Kid – Gintoki seems to be the most popular out of the Gintama group. With a close match victory from Kid, the chances of him winning this one is very slim. Gintoki may dominate him by the end of this one.

Group 2: Shinsuke Takasugi vs. Ciel Phantomhive – Ciel was done much to show just how well he can perform with other people, but with a rather poor result from his previous round, he is going to have a hard time trying to muster some form of victory. Shinsuke should be able to slay him.

Group 3: Sougo Okita vs. Ichigo Kurosaki – Ichigo has shown time and time again that he is able to overcome the odds no matter who his opponent is. He may have gotten himself up against a wall when he faces Sougo. Sougo knocked off his senior in a inter-series match by an okay margin. With no one to slow him down, Sougo looks to win this with relative ease.

Group 4: Sanji vs. Shota Kazehaya – As I have said before, Shota seems to gain a same high percent victory no matter how many people vote. With a close match from Kakashi, Shota may start to break down from his chances. Then again, Sanji did not perform that well himself, but he did manage to out-perform Sebastian to get into this position. With this in mind, it may be possible for Sanji to defeat Shota in this match.
