With Iwasawa Masami’s victory over Shiomiya Shiori, I am starting to think that Shiroi may not truly be as great as her preliminary matches say she was. A win by Elucia de Lute Ima from Kirishima Shōko gives Tachibana Kanade a last minute boost for the necklace. Sadly, Himeji Mizuki could not help as well with her 100 vote loss against Aragaki Ayase, which means that Ayase is really going to the slumps in terms of her performance from last year. Speaking of necklace participants, Eucliwood Hellscythe showed no mercy to Gokō Ruri, completely dominating her in this match. Maybe the latest episode gave her just the right amount of support she needed to go all out against her.
Aisaka Taiga is that one character who, despite no recent second season or OVA, continues to perform well and become stronger, contrary to most characters who deplete in strength when people slowly start to forget about them. Her victory over Nakano Azusa shows that Taiga is probably one of the more dangerous characters around in terms of people you do not want to meet when you have a history like an undefeated streak and the like. Sadly, Nagato Yuki could not pull off the same victory that she did last year with Shana. Having said that, Misaka Mikoto also obtained her victory over Akiyama Mio. It looks like the anti-Tiara effect has not damaged her yet.
Much to my surprise, Cinque Izumi and Millhiore Firianno Biscotti managed to defeat Tsuzuki Takumi and Kiriya Nozomi. I guess recent series do have an advantage at some points. Not to my surprise, Akemi Homura and Furude Rika won in this time traveler’s match. It seems as though Homura does a lot better when there are more people that voters have to choose from. Then again, Rika is a good partner to have. Have Rika and Suzuha switched, I am sure that the results would have looked very different.
