Tiger and Bunny Review

Tiger and Bunny sets its eyes mostly on Kaburagi T. Kotetsu, a veteran hero from the hit series “Hero TV.” His like takes an interesting turn when his new sponsor introduces a tag team concept to the show has him work with Barnaby Brooks Jr., a young rising hero of his own. As the two try to settle their own differences, they learn about each other’s strengths and weaknesses and ultimately solve the mystery behind Barnaby’s past and Hero TV as a whole.

Koi Kaze Review

Koi Kaze follows the eyes of Saeki Kōshirō, a 27-year-old marriage consultant as his life takes an interesting turn with the addition of Kohinata Nanoka, his high school sister that he had forgotten about, lives with him under the consensus of their father. Their intertwined life creates a struggle rarely seen in today’s anime, for such a struggle has nearly turned into one for either a comedic effect or a standard trope.

Angelic Layer Review

Angelic Layer sets its eyes on Suzuhara Misaki, a first year middle school student who moved to Tokyo to begin the first year of her middle school life. Upon getting lost in the highly metropolitan area, she comes across a large screen displaying a fight between what appears to be small robots controlled telepathically by their owner. After a stunning fight, Misaki became quickly interested in this game, of which a suspicious man in a lab coat introducing himself as “Icchan” introduces her to the game while giving her several hints and advice on how to play the game. Little did Misaki know that this game that she just started out will create a chain of fortunate and unfortunate events as Misaki will later realize why this game possesses a major significance in her life.

Sailor Moon

No, I was not living under a rock. I just have not picked this show up during my childhood, shocking as one may call it. I did not wish to bother myself with it since it was too long for watch through, but now that there is news of a remake of this series come next summer, I thought to myself, “Now might be the best time than never to watch this series.” That said, here is my take on this series that should have been a part of my childhood.

Training throughout her entire life to get revenge on those who have killed her family, Lilith finally comes to the age where she is able to perform her final duty is to give birth to a child with the last true-blood vampire hunter and kill it along with him. Little did anyone know that things did not go according to plan.

After overhearing another club about what they were going to do over before graduation, Yui, Ritsu, Mio, and Tsumugi decide to go on a field trip on their own. Their destination is none other than London, which is rich in musical history in its own right. However, is it really just that? A trip to have fun? Hidden behind the tea, cake, sweets, and giggles lie a wish all four of them want to make come true: a chance to give Azusa a proper farewell gift. But what could it be? A souvenir? A rich sweet? How about a song? Okay, let’s go with that! But, exactly what king of song should we make for her? Something big? Something extravagant? Or maybe, just maybe, something about her, thanking her for everything that she has done for us, from setting ourselves straight to improving our musical talent? While all of them are having fun, the four are very serious about writing the correct lyrics to sing to her – that was the entire point of this trip.

It hurts when all the things that you have treasured the most has been robbed away from you. It’s even more painful if  one were to assume it happened because it was their own fault. Trapped in their own conflicted mindset, unable to move on because their treasure disappeared the moment they reached the height of their career, I found a lot about myself whenever I try to see the world with Kawada Keiichiro’s eyes. With nothing to live for because what he were living for was gone, Keiichiro lives with is own self-guilt, moving on only to move on. Yet, it only takes one small incident to change his life: finding a lone girl upon a pile of rubble that rainy day.

Everyday as she works in the fields, a certain high school student would always pass by her direction. The person’s name was Sakurai Tomoki, the boy whom she fell in love with at first sight. She would always hide away from because she does not want him to see her in dirty clothes. While Tomoki never notices her, she has always has her sights on him but never gained the courage to tell him her feelings or asked him out. Usually, his coming was her alarm clock to get ready to school herself. This was Hiyori Kazane; this is her story from her eyes.

Toaru Hikuushi E No Tsuioku

Due to his poor economic background and race, a young boy has been bullied and picked on throughout his life. Without a mother or father to run into the arms of for comfort, the boy had no choice but to survive by himself alone while suffering through the various racial and class problems that surrounded him. Getting chased around, beaten up, and, picked on every day, the boy merely wanted to be in the sky and fly to the clouds where he can be free. After many years of struggle and hard work, he was finally able to join the air force and become one of the best pilots to date. Even with his great ability, he was still racially and financially taunted by the people there, but he was able to hold it in now that he has many comrades by his side who will step up for his defense. One day, he is given a task that only someone of his capabilities can do: sending someone of high importance across treacherous waters heavily guarded by enemy forces. Little did he or the person whom he is going to escort would know what will happen to either of them as they fly through the sea. This is Charles Karino. This is his story set in his eyes.
