International Exhibition (Male) Tournament

The International Saibishie League (properly known as the Exhibition Tournament) is now up and ready to begin. This is a male tournament that follows an elimination style format starting with 96 characters nominated from several forums, followed by 32, 16, 8, 4, and finally the finals. This offests Korean’s own male tournament by not having a preliminary round, but most notably for the high number of voter participation, something that KBM seriously needs. Even males have their great moments in the history of anime, and here, they will prove to other competitors and to the world who the best guy is.

ISML 2012: Amethyst Period: Day 8 Fantasy/Prediction

The Amethyst Necklace is up for grabs as seven girls fight to see who has what it takes to obtain this necklace. On paper, Taiga looks to have another shot at winning this match, but with Shana as an added factor to the group once again, Taiga will suffer from split votes like she sadly does f the last necklace match was of any indication. From this note, Ruri would be the second best person to obtain the necklace. With the second highest SDO and no one to slow her down, Ruri looks to have the Amethyst Necklace within her grasp. However, there is Nagato to consider. With her victory over Mikoto, this may be an indication that people want her for as a three-peat Amethyst Necklace champion. However, with such a poor SDO disadvantage, her chances of pulling what Shana and Kanade did is quite slim. I think Ruri will win the necklace.

ISML Amethyst Period 2012: Day 7 Results

There are so many close matches here, I do not even know where to begin. Ruri creates a crushing victory over Kobato allowing her to move onto the necklace race. Kyouko manages to get a decent victory Sora, getting out of the zero win zone and finally celebrating a victory of her own. Yuno needs to do wonders if she does not want to be the person who will be winless for a period. While Kirino defeated Inori, Inori manages to make the match close, proving that she may be able to handle her own against her other high tier competitors. With Yui’s close victory over Yuri, see too also advances to the necklace tournament with Eucliwood following close behind with an obvious win over Homura.

ISML Amethyst Period 2012: Day 6 Results

Kurisu manages to get a near 200 vote victory over Irisveil. At least, we know that Kurisu has some fight left, but not much. Menma gets very close victory off of Minami by 33 votes. It look like Memna was finally able to break off her winless streak. Speaking on winness, Sora gets a decisive victory over Yuno. It looks like we have a candidate who may as well hold the crown for obtaining no victories.

ISML Amethyst Period 2012: Day 5 Results

Charlotte barely tops Aria by 101 votes. Our “win by a close margin” queen continues to perform wonders for us. Interestingly enough, it would be Kobato who would get the victory over Kirino. I guess most of our voters like her more so than her. That, and a possible help would be from the Hanakawa fanbase. Vicorique also gets a much needed victory over Mato. While the results were much closer than before, Victorique still proves that she has what it takes to take her out. Yui also gets an almost 400 vote lead over Sena, It looks like the two Haganai characters have a lot of potential to take on tougher opponents come post-season.
