The International Saibishie League (properly known as the Exhibition Tournament) is now up and ready to begin. This is a male tournament that follows an elimination style format starting with 96 characters nominated from several forums, followed by 32, 16, 8, 4, and finally the finals. This offests Korean’s own male tournament by not having a preliminary round, but most notably for the high number of voter participation, something that KBM seriously needs. Even males have their great moments in the history of anime, and here, they will prove to other competitors and to the world who the best guy is.
The picture speaks for itself what I believe is going to happen in this group of women. With a majority of the girls coming in at today’s match from the second preliminary round, it almost seems certain as to what the results may be.

- 278 Maho Misawa @ Ro-Kyu-Bu!

With the 2012 Olympics over and done with, it is now time for the real games to begin. It is time for the eleventh Saimoe completion to reveal itself!
The number of ties here are starting to get a bit out of proportioned, but with few people in the voting room now than when this first started, such closeness in numbers should have been more apparent. Still, I think this was the first time I got to see so many ties in one string of group votes.
The younger girls certainly make themselves known in these group of girls. Araragi Tsukihi makes Nisemongatari a faction to consider as she takes the main leader board with a high score of 106 votes, the highest votes so far and the score to beat for all other potential KBM title holders out there. Not to far behind is Tohsaka Rin in her child form from Fate/Zero, setting another character and possibly the Fate/Zero group in general. Shana is the first in her group of girls, but with 86 votes, Shana needs to step up to the plate not to get knocked down by the never girls. Still, she shows that the finalist from 2007 still shows some strength in her to take out some potential new girls who may get rise here.
The first results of the match are up, and already, there are some interesting things that are happening at this time. I think an even shocking observation is the clear obviousness of which characters are going to make it big and which characters are just there for the ride. There is almost no middle ground here: you are either top material or the bottom of the pack. In any case, here are the results for the first preliminary groups.
